In 1974 Our first Wiring Harness for Street Rods was introduced. That system was basic, by the standards RON FRANCIS WIRING is known for today. It did, however, meet Ron's goals and served to prove that a wiring system could be offered in kit form for the do-it-yourselfer. We began to make wiring solutions painless at RON FRANCIS WIRING. Many of the original wiring kits are still in service today!!

Dear Fellow Enthusiasts,
After 10 years of management experience working for Ron Francis Wiring, in 2001 I started my own company called The Detail Zone. RFW and TDZ have worked closely together over the years developing cutting-edge wiring products to keep ahead of the competition. Seven successful years later have officially brought me back together with Ron Francis Wiring, this time as owner and president. Many of the same people are on board at Ron Francis, so it is truly a coming home for me. With Connie Francis and Gary DuRoss continuing to oversee day to day operations, the transition has been an easy one. Of course, Ron continues to work with me on developing new products and answering customer email questions.

We are dedicated to providing a broad spectrum of quality electrical products along with exemplary customer service to make your experience with us a memorable one. The development of special hardware to fit custom cars and trucks has resulted in a variety of unique components, many of which have earned prestigious awards for the WIRE WORKS from the National Street Rod Association. In 1982 the WIRE WORKS Trans-mounted Neutral Safety Switch received "Product of the Year" award, and the WIRE WORKS Bright Bulbs were picked as the Best "Safety Product of the Year" in 1985. In 1994 the Wire Works Crash Relay received another Best "Safety Product of the Year" award, and our electric gear shift indicator show what creative designers we have. RON FRANCIS WIRING is a competitive participant in these programs every year and maintains that status through design and development of new products on a regular basis!!
